For those who are going to spend 4 or 5 days in New York let's give them a series of ideas, advice and recommendations to try to see the main sites of the Big Apple in such a short time.

To make it easy, let's divide Manhattan in 4 zones and we will visit each one a day, leaving us a day off to do something that we really want and that is not contemplated in this route, such as going to see a Gospel Mass on a Sunday in Harlem, which will take you all morning, or go to Coney Island and its mythical amusement park, which will take you like it.

Therefore, the days will be divided as follows:

Central Park

On this day we are going to take the opportunity to know without a doubt the most famous park in the city and take the opportunity to visit some of its main museums, which without a doubt are one of the treasures of this city. From my point of view, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) It should be visited obligatorily, and then depending on your tastes choose if you visit the New York Guggenheim Museum Frick collection and Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) or choose the American Museum of Natural History. To better plan this day, nothing better than reading our article about a day in Central Park.

Undoubtedly a very complete day, you will see the main icons known Manhattan, although we will try to leave some for another day. Times Square, Rockefeller Center, must surely be Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal and climb at least one of the two best-known viewpoints in the city: Empire State Building o Top of the Rock. To eat I can only recommend two places: The famous hamburgers of the Burger Joint, located in the lobby of the Le Parker Meridien hotel, or go try one of the most famous cheese cakes in the city, Junior's, very close to Times Square. To plan the day I recommend you read our article with a Midtown tour.

Downtown and Soho

Here we find some of the neighborhoods with more personality of New York, for my essential go to Chelsea and Meatpacking District, and make the Highline, visit Chelsea Market and then cross to the other side of the city to visit Chinatown and Little Italy. For lunch or dinner during your stay, I always recommend going to Greenwich Village and enjoy some of the places in the area: To eat a good pizza you have John's at Bleecker Street, the oldest pizza restaurant in New York, or Kesté Pizza & Vino, located directly opposite, and for dinner listening to live music we have Cafe Wha?, where artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix started, or the famous jazz bars like Blue Note or Vanguard Village. The visit to the mythical Magnolia Bakery, located on Bleecker Street, I find it essential for fans of the series Sex in New York.

Financial District and Brooklyn

One day a little beating but it is well worth it. We start the day going up to Ferry to Staten Island, to see the Statue of Liberty, on our return to Manhattan we will visit Ground Zero, the September 11 Memorial and Museum, and then upload if we feel like the highest observatory in the United States, the One World Observatory, located in the new One World Trade Center and with a different view of the city that we get from the Empire State or Top of the Rock, visit Wall Street at the time of your meal and already take the subway to cross to Brooklyn and Enjoy the Brooklyn Promenade, eat at Juliana's pizza o Grimaldi's Pizzeria An unforgettable pizza, enjoy the views from the Brooklyn Bridge Park while we take an ice cream from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory to lower the food and finish the day crossing the Brooklyn bridge, one of those days that you record in your retina and you will not forget them in your life, although your legs may take a little while to recover because of the walk laughing
