Impossible not to remember the September 11 attacks in New York, it's one of those things in history that impact you so much that you'll always know what you were doing, where you were, who you were on the day of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York.

In this article we are going to talk about the monument and the museum that have been erected in the place where the Twin Towers in the Financial District used to be.

Location of the 11-S Memorial and Museum

El September 11 Memorial and Museum, in English National September 11 Memorial & Museum, is located exactly where the Twin Towers were located, and consists of two parts:

  • The Museum, in which you can see all the events that happened in the terrible attack 11 September of 2001, objects that were found in the rubble, the staircase of the survivors, .., a necessary museum but not suitable for people with much sensitivity. It also includes information about the 1993 attack.
  • The Memorial, built in the square attached: It is a monument in which the foundations of each Twin Tower is marked by a huge hole with a waterfall of 30 meters high and where around we can see the name of the people who died in the terrible attempt.

Access to the September 11 Memorial and Museum

Access to the square is free and free, but to enter the museum you have to pay an entrance fee, which is included in all the tourist cards of New York. It is curious and moving at the same time as in the hustle and bustle of Financial District find a place with little noise, with such peace, and where the water of the waterfalls can be heard perfectly while visiting the Memorial.

The new transport interchange

  • Friday and Saturday: From 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening (last access to the 7 in the afternoon)
